Lakeridge Swim Club Pool Rules 2025

These rules have been established by the Board of Trustees of Lakeridge Swim Club to assure safe operation of the
pool facilities for the protection and benefit of all members and guests.
These rules may be amended from time to time

Lakeridge Swim Club’s General Manager has authority over the activities of members and their guests while on Club
grounds.

The General Manager may delegate full decision-making authority to an Assistant Manager, Lifeguard or Attendant
as needed during regular pool operating hours.

The Staff members have the authority to enforce all rules, restrict any activity they consider unsafe, and may restrict
anyone from access to the pool or pool property.

Failure to adhere to rules or instructions of Staff may result in loss of Club access for one or more days.
• Conversations with an on-duty lifeguard shall be restricted to necessary conversation.
• Only on-duty employees are allowed in the office, the filter/chlorine rooms, or the storage spaces.
• Only on-duty employees are allowed access to the lifeguard stand(s).
• In case of emergency, the pool will be cleared by the lifeguard by three sharp blasts of the whistle.

Members will be responsible for any damage, loss, or infraction of the rules and resulting consequences of actions by
themselves, their children, or their guests.
Members and their children should report any vandalism they witness or broken equipment to office Staff
immediately.

Sign-In is required by all Members and their Guests on each day of use during normal operating hours, for any use
of the Club facilities and grounds.
• Children age 13 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
Guests must be accompanied by a Member to access Club facilities. Members are responsible for communicating
Club rules to their guests and for their guests behavior.

Members must remain at the Club property with their guests.
• Guest fees must be paid or guest passes must be used upon entry.
• Members under the age of 18 are limited to four (4) guests at one time unless accompanied by a
responsible adult.
• Each non-swimmer child party guest will be issued a wrist-band to signify their swimming ability.
Phone numbers for children whose parents are not in attendance must be provided.
Pool Use is prohibited for anyone with a communicable disease or anyone who has been ill with vomiting, diarrhea,
or rash within the last two weeks.
• Persons with skin abrasions, colds, inflamed eyes, ear or nasal discharge, infections or bandages
are not allowed in the pool.
• Pollution of the pool is prohibited, including but not limited to, urinating, spitting, blowing the nose,
or depositing any foreign matter in either pool.
Children, especially those in the water, must be under the supervision of an adult.
• Non-swimmers age 8 and under must remain within arm’s reach of a supervising adult.
• Non-swimmers may enter water deeper than their shoulders only with a supervising adult in the
water with them.
• Children in diapers must wear a snug fitting and protective waterproof swim diaper over a
disposable swim diaper.

Members and guests should use the pool and all Club equipment both safely and in a manner consistent with its
intended purpose.
• Shower with soap before entering the pool.
• Walking only on the pool deck and concrete walkways is required at all times.
• Only foot-first entries in 3-5 foot areas.
• Personal Flotation Devices are not allowed, except under special circumstances with explicit
approval of the Manager.
• No “horseplay” in or out of the water. This includes riding on shoulders, throwing children, or unsafe
stunts from the side of the pool.
• Face masks, snorkels and flippers are allowed ONLY if used properly.
• NO walking on deck with fins on. No mono-fins with leg sheaths.
• Kickboards and pull buoys may be used by lap swimmers in the lap lanes only.
• Swim under the marker ropes and do not sit or pull on them.
• No sitting or floating on balls. Balls are allowed in the shallow end only.
• No food or drinks are allowed within 4 feet of the pool edge.
• Gum is not permitted on Club grounds.

All Members and guests are expected to treat other members, guests, coaches, lifeguards, Staff, and volunteers with
respect.

Physically or verbally abusive behavior will not be tolerated and may result in loss of Club privileges for one or more
days.
• Profanity, obscenities, vulgarity, or other disrespectful language or behaviors are prohibited.
• Dangerous activities or toy weapons (including but not limited to squirt-guns) are prohibited on Club
property.

Members will look out for the cleanliness, safety, mutual enjoyment, and accessibility of the Club facilities and
amenities.
• Glass is prohibited anywhere on Club property.
• Pets are prohibited on the Club property.
• Bicycles shall be placed on the bicycle rack and are prohibited inside the pool area.
• Personal speakers to amplify music or sound are prohibited.
• Alcohol is prohibited on Club property, except for special functions as authorized by the Board.
• Smoking, vaping, chewing tobacco, and recreational cannabis are prohibited on Club property.
• Food, drinks, and gum are prohibited in the dressing rooms.
• Roller blading, skateboarding, scootering, or bicycling are prohibited on Club property.
• When lounge chairs are in heavy demand, adults shall have priority in their use.
• The Club is not responsible for loss of personal property. Do not leave valuables unattended.  Do
not leave anything visible in your car.
• Tables and BBQ grills are shared by all. Clean grills and tables and pick up garbage after use.
• No nudity except for when in the locker rooms, regardless of age.
• Change diapers in the locker rooms only.
Diving is only allowed in the 12′ area of the dive tank, except for during swim team practice or racing.
• One person at a time is allowed on the diving board.
• Only one bounce is allowed on the diving board.
• A swimmer must wait until the previous diver has reached the side of the pool before diving.
• Dive or jump straight off the end of the board. Do not dive or jump toward the side wall. No masks
on the diving board.
• Swim directly to the ladder after diving and exit the pool at the ladder or on the ladder-side wall.
• Do not swim under the diving board, hang on the board, or exit the pool from the back dive tank
wall.
• Do not throw balls or other objects to someone using the diving board.
• Flips and back dives are for experienced divers only.
• Swim team dive blocks are for supervised team use only.

Lap Lanes are for lap swimmers only.
• Do not walk through or swim under lane lines through lap lanes.
• Two may split a lane, three or more should circle swim, please.
• The lap lanes may be restricted to adult swimmers at certain times.
Tennis Court
• Closed toe tennis shoes only on the court.
• No bare feet, flip flops, crocs, cleats or other potentially damaging footwear is allowed on the court.
• No food or drink except water is permitted on the court.
• Tennis and Pickleball lessons and tournaments have priority for use of court.
• Reservations for use may be made in the office or by calling 206-772-1950. Reservations are
limited to one hour of use and will be forfeited if more than 10 minutes late.
• Do not enter neighboring properties to retrieve tennis balls.
• DO NOT climb over, lean on or strike the net.
• DO NOT strike the court surface with a racquet or any other object.

Parties – Reservations
Groups of 8-39 guests require 10-day in advance notice, a rental agreement, and payment of a non-refundable
deposit.
Groups of 40 or more guests may be scheduled with the Manager and require private rental of the pool during times
when the pool is not open to all members,
must be scheduled at least two weeks in advance, and require a rental agreement and payment of a non-refundable
deposit.
