As I am (in the process of) stepping down, it’s with great relief that I can announce my successor.
My ‘pool daughter’ and good friend Sara Young Tarp will continue the tradition of loving care that’s been a part of this establishment since its inception.
Sara has been part of the Lakeridge community for as long as she can remember.
Her grandfather, Arnie Young, served as General Manager for over three decades, and as a child, Sara grew up visiting grandpa and swimming on the swim team.
Once she was old enough, her first job at age 15 was here at Lakeridge, working for me as a lifeguard and teaching swim lessons.
She moved into the Office Manager position seven years ago and has been my left hand, my thinking brain, and my list-maker & note-taker more and more.
With a strong family legacy and a deep love for the pool and its families, the Board and I are proud to announce that Sara is continuing her contribution to the Lakeridge family and its lasting sense of community as our new General Manager.
Guest Fees are $10 each. For convenience, you may purchase guest credits at home before coming to the pool. Guest credits will continue to expire at the end of each season.
You may bring up to 7 guests when you come, without needing a reservation.

Each session is two weeks long, and run from Monday through Thursday.

March 2025 – First Big News of the Season!
SwimLSC.com, is now running on Member Splash, a platform that allows you to pay dues, buy guest credits, and check-in when you & your guests arrive at the pool. Once the season is in full swing, we’ll have party reservations and communication about calendar/scheduling activities as well.
Family dues remain at $1,100. Seniors remain at $550.
Transfers & Rentals:
All transfers must go through the LSC office and are offered to waitlist families only.
A Recap from our 2/25 General Membership Meeting
Bylaws changes were approved in Article VI, Membership:
- Increase quantity of membership certificates from 300 to 350 families.
We will be increasing our family memberships from 300 to 325 this year. We’ll re-evaluate after this season and see how ‘full’ it feels before adding more.
- Increase Associate (Senior) memberships from 50 to 75.
8a. Reduce age for Associate (Senior) from 60 to 55.
New board members were elected and our annual budget was approved.
Dates & Info:
Opening Day for our 2025 season – Monday, May 12th.
Spring hours will consist of laps and family swims for members and their guests, along with weekday afternoon swim team practices.
Summer hours this year will begin around June 23rd, depending on snow makeup days.
Swim Meets On home meet days, pool closes @ 4pm.

Water Polo
We do not yet have a schedule for water polo matches yet (in August), but Doc is looking for more players, with preseason practices on Fridays in June and Fridays and Saturdays in July.
Water Polo fees will be $125 member/$155 nonmember.
Earning Guest Credits at Work Parties
We will have work opportunities in late April/early May so that members can earn guest credits.
Earn 5 guest credits for every 2 hours worked, ages 14+
Come help get the pool ready for opening. We’ll let you know days and times when we get that figured out. Lots of blackberries to cut/remove, plus we’re always looking for people with specific skills – we’ll get details to you in the next newsletter.

Number Guests Non-Refundable Deposit
Up to 18 $150 (Covers first 10 guests)
19 – 28 $225 (Covers first 15 guests)
29 – 39 $300 (Covers first 20 guests)
Balance of guest fees ($10.00/person) due at end of party. Guest credits may be used.
More than 39 guests requires an after-hours party, 9-11pm.
